Lease templates
Called to Rent is not a party to your lease. Use a written agreement built for your state, then customize it for a mission-window rental. These sites offer templates you can fill in and download.
What to make sure your lease covers
Mission homes often need more clarity than a standard short-term rental. Review every template against this list (and have a local attorney review unusual situations).
- ✓Exact start and end dates (match mission window where possible)
- ✓Monthly rent, deposit, late fees, and how rent is paid
- ✓Who pays which utilities and whose name stays on accounts
- ✓Care responsibilities (yard, snow, pool, trash, HOA rules)
- ✓Smoke-free / pet rules and parking
- ✓Owner storage rooms or locked areas the renter may not use
- ✓Early-return plan if the owners come home sooner than expected
- ✓Maintenance and emergency contacts (who to call first)
- ✓Insurance requirements for both landlord and renter
- ✓Entry notice for inspections or repairs
